Paint It Black is the new band featuring ex-members
of legendary underground favorites Lifetime and Kid Dynamite. This time around, we have
Dr. Dan Yemin on vocals. These guys are a little harder than Kid Dynamite. This demo is a
fun listen, and I feel like these guys have a lot of potential. Songs like Atticus
Finch, and The Insider display raw talent that cannot be matched by most
bands out there today.
While this is no Lifetime or Kid Dynamite (nor is it meant to be), this is still
somewhat enjoyable, and for fans of the past bands mentioned, worth checking out. Be sure
to hit up their new song on the latest Jade Tree sampler. By the way, these guys get bonus
points because they have that monster Dave W. on drums. He was also in Lifetime, and is a
current member of Fat Wreck favorites, Good Riddance. |
